NVIDIA GPU LITIGATION - Settlement and Subsequent Violation Mar 2. 2011 | Comments (1)
On 20th December 2010 NVIDIA agreed to settle the long pending dispute about faulty GPU chips. Most of the HP Computers that are facing trouble are covered.Subsequently, on 13th January 2011 more specific settlement details were reveled. As soon as the details were made available HP Class members realized that NVIDIA is in violation of the court orders. The replacement laptops are far below (in performance and value) than the one being owned by HP Class members.A class action fairness lawsuit has already been filed with the court and the hearing is on 28th of March. Hopefully this will resolve the situation for the HP Class members.I am not directly involved in any of the lawsuit but am monitoring them closely.
