The petition

I call all of you educated minds out there to read about my petition, inform yourself, and sign my petition in support of getting the DREAM ACT passed through Congress.

Fact:
Each year, approximately 50,000-65,000 undocumented children graduate from our nation's high schools or receive the equivalent to a high school diploma. The majority of these immigrant students who complete high school are Latino (estimated at 28,500-37,050 a year).

These students were brought the U.S.A. by their parents or family members, when they themselves had no part in the sudden move from their home country. They stayed in the country illegally, educated through the American school systems. A large quantity of these students were/are at the top of their class and have held top honors upon graduation. Many of them were/are granted admission into top colleges and universities in the United States, very few actually attend college, and the majority of them don't go at all. WHY? Financially unable 2: their legal status impedes them from making their Dreams a reality, and giving back this country that helped them to believe that Dreams do exist; a country that gave them a formal education...the same country whose citizens decry these students for trying to make their Dreams realized.

What the Dream Act is capable of:

The measure would give children of illegal immigrants who complete two years of post-secondary education or two years of military service a chance to become citizens.

These students are trying to make it for themselves the only way they were shown how. They are intelligent and highly motivated and deserve the opportunity to Dream big.

Support the cause and please sign my petition.
Thank you and God Bless.
