HousingAnywhere.com is a platform where students going abroad for an exchange semester, internship or co-op can rent out their rooms and have access to vacant rooms abroad. It is therefore a platform that makes the empty rooms of outgoing students available to incoming students. I wholeheartedly believe that we need to be part of this movement at Northeastern especially because of our co-op program that takes students all around the world. Benefiting Parties: • Outgoing exchange students: can avoid double rental costs by renting out their rooms during their stay abroad • Incoming exchange students: they can rent a room in a local student house, this: o Gives them extra choice of accommodation o Gives them the opportunity to live in a local student house, and thus experience the local student culture • University: With this simple mechanism, there will be more supply of student rooms, which will be a great service to the students As I propose this project to our university, I would like to show that other people besides me think that this initiative is worthwhile.
