Comments: The question I ask is why has it taken so long for this to be questioned and why is Captain Honors the only person who is being attacked/held responsible for. Surely the CO and even higher ranks saw these skits and if there were issues, they would of acted on them. Also i am aware that there are other channels that shipmates who were offended could of taken if they were so "offended" by these skits. I believe that no one was offended as no action was taken in the last few years. If a civilian has lodged the complaint after somehow seeing the video, maybe they should perform the buildup prior to deployment and sit through a deployment without going stir crazy. As a wife it was hard but no where near as hard as what my husband would of been going though being away from family, home and friends. If these skits allowed him to come home safe why are we now questioning the character of this man that helped many sailors to come home safe!!!!!

Comments: While not military myself, I would like to say that I am proud to have a man with such dedication and commitment (as evidenced by such a distinguished service record) serving our country. That such an respected commander would be subject to such treatment because of a few people with no sense of humor and thin skin is a terrible shame.

Comments: CAPT O. P. Honors is a wonderful officer and to me, he's always been a great friend. Anyone who knows him, knows that this video was made in jest and he shouldn't be reprimanded for it. Rumor has it that the Navy is considering firing him from his current job as CO. If they do, that would be the most stupid, idiotic, ignoramus thing they could ever do. Especially considering that the Enterprise is currently getting ready to go on deployment and he, having been the XO and now the CO of that ship, probably knows it better than anyone else aboard. C'mon Navy leaders, do what's BEST for the Navy and keep OP in the job and let him do what he does best - defend our country!!!

Comments: I have served with CAPT Honors during the 2006 deployment. He is an honorable man that cares about his crew. He used the videos to address serious shipboard issues in a comedic fashion. He was able to get his point across while maintaining high morale. Do not destroy this mans career. I would be honored to deploy with CAPT Honors again.

Comments: One of the GREATEST officers to serve under! He kept moral high on his Saturday night quick flicks. It seemed to be the only thing for a while that people looked forward that was different from everyday same ol'grind and kept humor amongst the ship. They should let him stay and not worry about the videos that didn't hurt anyone on board the Big E...but put smile and made laughs from it.

Comments: I've served on board the Enterprise for over four years. We haven't seen a finer XO or a finer CO in all my time here. This is the only person I've served under that I would take time to sign a petition for. Don't take our leader away and then send us off to war, that would be completely irresponsible!

Comments: Being ex-Air force I can't even begin to imagine what a pressure cooker environment months on a carrier can be. I can however, recognize an officer who shows genuine concern for his crew and takes a self deprecating tactic to keep up morale. Anyone who is critical should be required to go serve and sacrifice under the same conditions as the men and women on these carriers before they start complaining.

Comments: This is absurd. Finally a man comes along that will put his own neck on the line, and the media is taking advantage of it. One of the only things a sailor has on deployment is moral, which is stretched to the thinnest already. Let this man help out his fellow sailors by doing what he does.

He was a great XO and his videos were just a pretty funny and they made a lot of the crew smile. Being out to sea for 6 months at a time is not an easy and he was just trying to bring some laughter to the crew.

Comments: From a Marine Capt who spent three deployments aboard Navy shipping, I would have loved to have had a ship's XO like this during those long periods afloat. I saw this on the news and was sickened by the unfair criticism of a true leader who cares so much about the morale of those entrusted to his care as XO.

Comments: I am the liberal, left wing, college professor son of a navy WWII combat veteran. I am also a visual effects supervisor with many well known films to my name. I wish that other leaders and executives had the sense of humor and production values of Captain Honors. The shots with him playing triple roles are impressive. His timing and focus is near perfect; better than much of what I have seen from professional actors. It is ironic these videos, which show so many abilities a great leader should possess, could be the cause of an attempt to remove him. From the little I know about the navy, sailors masturbate, swear and have days filled with alternating boredom and terror. A captain who not only acknowledges this but is willing to make fun of it and himself is a precious commodity our country needs more of.
