Comments: While i never played football, a majority of my friends at Oxy did. Hearing them speak about Coach Widolff still to this day a decade+ after graduation lets me know the kind of influence he had on people and how this is a shame and needs to be rectified. I support my friends, i support Coach Widolff.

Comments: I played football for about a year and a half at Oxy and Coach Widolff was an amazing coach, mentor, and role model. The way the school and the athletic department is going about this is sickening.

Comments: I have know coach Widolff for about 15 years. He has been a great mentor, coach and father figure. I have always known him to uphold and follow ethical standards. This is a predatory action by Occidental College against one of it's longest serving faculty members and I cannot support such action. As an alumni, I feel Occidental College should either provide an explanation into the reason for Coach Widolff's termination, or stop counting on my financial support.

Comments: Coach Widolf has been a major part of the greatest experiences at Oxy for so many fine men throughout the years, that no self righteous, paper pushing admin or president can duplicate in a 100yrs- the treatment of Coach Widolf and his ousting in this manner is disgusting.

Comments: RIP "Oxy" . It used to be a "people" place. Sadly it has become a process place, Great individuals like Ben Culley, Clancy Morison, and now Dale Widolff are no longer a fit for what Occidental has become.

Comments: Dale Widolff is the most Thoughtful head coach I've ever served under. I know he's had an incredibly positive impact on the lives of Many people that have come in contact with him at Occidental College, in the football world & beyond. He's had an unforgettably positive influence on my life. Thank You Coach Widolff!

Comments: I've coached college football for over 30 years and Dale is as fine a man and coach as you will find in the profession. When it came time for my sons to pick a college to play football, Dale was the only reason we considered Occidental; and one of them played for him. He is devastated by the actions of his former college. This is a sad day and I hope Occidental feels the financial pain that should follow this egregious injustice. There isn't enough space to describe the contempt I have for the Athletic Director who spent the last 3 years trying to create a reason to fire Coach Widolff. Shame on Occidental College and shame on Jamie Hoffman. She is a disgrace to college athletics. I guess if you work hard enough at it, you can find a reason to fire anyone. Even a good man like Dale Widolff.
