Fans from all over the world love the Honor 7. It has an amazing camera, screen and its one of the fastest devices on the Earth. However, without the source code, it limits the usability and the freedom that the Android offers, such as custom kernels and cpu governers that unlock the device functionality and improve stability, custom ROMs that enhance the device,and quick security updates and even updates provided by the community after Huawei stops supporting the device.
Android endorses the openess and Huawei should do the same if using as the base, therefore we request Huawei to release the source code and contribute to this mind-blowing and ever grwoing project.

I have spent the last few days reading through your messages about how much better this device could perform with open software. It is frustrating to hold a phone with so much potential that remains locked away by a company sitting on its hands. Please keep pushing because silence is not an acceptable response from them.

Seeing this kind of momentum reminds me why I started this for my own Honor 7. It feels incredible to know so many of you share the same frustration with being locked out of our own devices.

Please release the source files. The Honor 7 has great hardware but even your latest firmware is already quite all and it still doesn't work well particulary push message still fail frequently and the auto close “feature“ for apps is quite horrible.
Honor 7 need better support in frame of open-source community, Opensource coomunity need driver and gpl kernel
Coming from a Nexus 5, which was highly customisable after rooting, I would expect the same kind of offering from Huawei. This is just to enhance the user experience of your device. Plus, as we all know, android users are tinkerers. Thus it would be foolish not to release the source codes.
One thing that was retaining me from buying this phone was the lack of tweaking and modding, I think it could be the same for many others.
The lifeblood of any device are the independent developers who work on modding devices. So releasing the source code would be vital to maintaining the popularity of the device

I bought this phone for the excellent overall performances, but I'm afraid about future updates and support. This is a great device and promoting modding would be amazing.
