When a patron pays for a pint of beer in a restaurant or pub in Oregon, the glass should hold a full 16 ounces of beer. Unfortunately, the most common type of glassware in regular use is the 14-ounce "shaker" pint glass. In many cases, neither the owners, servers, or patrons are aware that the shaker pint glassware is undersized.
Therefore, we, the undersigned, request that the Oregon Department of Agriculture Measurement Standards Division create a program to authenticate glassware used in bars and restaurants as an honest 16-ounce pint.
Hit 100 signatures. Apparently a lot of people are tired of short pours.

Weight and measures say they don't have a program for enforcement. What kind of crap is that! I believe when that yahoo went to work the sign on the door says......weights and measures!! Time to get off your butt and get to work! Sounds like this department needs some serious management overhaul!!

I thought I was alone in this. I'm delighted to discover that others share my dissatisfaction when I'm served a pint and receive only a "pint". A pint in name only. A 14 oz "pint" means that the beer in every 8th pint sold has already been paid for by other patrons.

It's either a pint (16 oz) or a "pint" (whatever they think they can get away with.) I want an honest, actual pint when I spend $4-$5 for a pint in a bar.

If I go into a beer, and order a pint of beer- I had better get 16oz (at least) of beer. . . I would be happy to receive more, but do not expect it. . . What I do expect when I order a pint, is to receive a pint, at least.... not an oz less, no 15ozbeer, and certainly not a 14oz beer.

Its pretty simple math. A pint is 16 ounces. If the glass dont hold it then dont call it a pint plain and simple.

Sick of paying 6 bucks for a glass of foam and 12 ounces of liquid. Stop ripping us off.
