Name: Anonymous on Sep 12, 2006Nationality: MTCountry of Residence: MTComments: Honoq ir-Rummien is one of the safest and usually cleanest bathing spotsin Gozo (and in the Maltese islands for that matter of fact). It is accessible to families for enjoyment. Why sell/restrict the right of the general public to use it in exchange for profits and poltical mileage of a handful. Outrightly unfair and exploitative as with many other projects masked as toursim development that is 'good' for the economoy and for evryone in a round about way - but really destined for eventual close down and outright sale with hefty profits for the few. Decision makers and entrepreneurs hands off our remaining gems in the local environment. Remember not everyone affords to get away as much as you do - that's the way we see it.Flag

Name: Giselle on Sep 12, 2006Nationality: MalteseCountry of Residence: MTComments: There are areas of land that are ideal for buildings and the govt is not giving permission for them to be developed although they are in urban areas, but it seems that permission to build in beautiful rural areas is fine! It's all hypocrisy!Flag

Name: Anika on Sep 12, 2006Nationality: MalteseCountry of Residence: MTComments: Please put an end to the rape of our country!!! So much has been destroyed for the greed of the few. Unrestrained development has been the name of the game, eradicating the very reason why people would want to live here in the first place. Can't the Government see that we are killing the golden goose! Rather have a few high net worth individuals who invest and live here than millions of the bucket and spade tourist. The reasons why the former would want to do so are fast disappearing! We have a responsibility to our children and future generations to safeguard what is left of the natural beauty of this place.Flag

Name: Edward on Sep 12, 2006Nationality: MalteseCountry of Residence: MTComments: If the government allows this development to proceed, it will confirm the growing view that it colludes with developers and land speculators in the despoilation of the Maltese environment - rural and urban. It will forfiet any credibility it may have as the guardian of the common good.Flag
