BritishGBAs a regular visitor to Gozo, i feel that developing this area will ruin this beautiful coast line and will turn Gozo into just another generic holiday resort instead of the beautiful unique island that it is. There are so many properties for sale and rent in Gozo and the hotels this summer all had vacancies why do they need to build more.
EnglishGBThe planned developments is totally out of scale and will destroy a much loved beach and sea environment. One of the reasons I go to Hondoq and therefore Gozo is for unspoilt and uncommercialised areas such as this.
FrenchMTHondoq should be remaining the nice quiet little creek and sandy beach as it is. Clean up a bit on the toilets and install a shower with timebutton. Please no marina, its so unneeded there, the Mgarr harbour is just around the corner .... why boats ans gasoil to ruin the lovely creek ???
BekgianMTKeep Hondoq as it is, just a little facelift regarding the toilets and a shower with watertimerbutton would be appreciated, |JUST KEEP HANDS OFF !!

ItalianITIt's seven years we are coming to Gozo and of course we enjoy this peaceful sandy beach. It has to stay like that forever!

beljianBEPlease do leave our dear Gozo free from any other further environmental damage. Please doleave Hondoq as it is!!!!! It is such a speculative process to the detriment of all citizens and tourists alike!! Dear authorities, please do something for us, with few or no power in our hands at all!!! We are all left to your mercy!!! Please take plea of our concerns!!!!!! I'm more than confident that the authorities will evaluate both the social benefits and social costs of such projects. If this is done, I'm more than sure that the social costs will overweight the social benefits, and thus, the said projects will be rejected and shelved for life!!
MalteseMTHondoq Bay is a very nice beach with a wonderful view of Comino. The children look forward to come to this bay each time we come to Gozo. Please leave Hondoq as it is.

MalteseMTHondoq is one of the few remaining natural beaches... building hotels or large buildings there is absolutely unsustainable.

malteseMTyes, we need development if it bring more jobs for the locals, but whose going to garanty those jobs are going to be occupated by the gozitans? almost all jobs off fast developments ara being taken by foriners. Who is going to garanty that this hotel wouldn t be sold as an appartments in a few years? and then hondoq would look like tinje. so better leave hondoq for the gozitans and tha maltese to enjoy. it could be changed to a champing and caravan sides nad still look natural!

MalteseMTThis bay is one of the most beautiful left on our islands. I call this a sacrilege to build this paradise. We are living in a zoo made of concrete. This jungle is causing people to become more stressed and ill. Let us LIVE in MORE GREEN AREAS. WE NEED PARKS NOT MORE CONCRETE JUNGLES.

MalteseMTIt is up to us Gozitans, to safeguard, what is left of nature which is untouched, for our future generations and all the foreigners who visit our beloved island for its natural beauty.

britishMTThe once beautiful Gozo is changing beyond recognition It is the island of cranes and half built flats! So to attack the beaches as well is madness .
MalteseUS.Qala is my home town, Hondoq is the beach our family grew up with, and is the only beach Qala can boast about.. I still visit Qala and Hondoq every year. This must be left as is, it's one of the few places that the Gov. has not interfered with over time and was left as natural as possible.. Please find another location to ruin with your so called progress, and leave Hondoq alone..
MalteseMTI don't know if you read Richard England's recent article about the disruption of Malta's skyline as towering blocks spout out of the ground. Same should be said for green areas. We should be ashamed that we allow certain people convert green areas into cement pits.
