Name: Ashley Hough on Jan 26, 2008Comments: There are many things I would like to say on this subject. For starters I am a pasto's daughter so I know my defense. First of all, these scriptures that are pulled from the bible from the OLD TESTAMENT, where polygamous (men with many wives) relationships were seen as okay in God's eyes, as well as 'eye for an eye.' These are things that are seen in the New Testament as unholy and sinful. Whereas, homosexuality is not. The bible states that a man and a woman are to be with one another to reproduce... back then it was needed for reproduction to populate the world, whereas nowadays, it is not. Leviticus says that "man shall not lie down with man." Leviticus is in the Old testament... I believe many are misinterprating the bible on the basis that many homosexuals lifestyles are "premiscuous", but if this is what it is meant as being gay is a sin, than it is no less or greater a sin of many men and women to in the world who are committing fornication. It says in the bible that we are not here to judge and that all sins are treated as equal in God's eyes. Furthermore, my theory is if this IS the case, we are forcing the gays who want to be in a monogamous relationship to sin, for we are not giving them the right to be wed. So Christians should be the blame for this. ;) (AND remember it was also many Churches who also believed in slavery and bombing abortion clinics, and although I am Pro-life, I can say that "Thou shalt not murder" is in the bible. These hypocritical Christians need to look in the mirror and worry about their own sins...) ALSO if our laws say that Church and Government is to be seperate, how can any of these things be used in defense and well as used against them...Flag

They can't activate their brains so they just follow some random leader, known as the pope or some random priest which tells them what's wrong at what's not. Homosexuality exists in nature too. Some animals are homosexual. So what's the big deal It is NOT a "sin"! And by the way, it was never written in "that book" that homosexuality is a sin. NEVER. Not to mention, that this thing was written by some old geezers that didn't know anything about the world. It's an old, stupid book full of fairy tales and stuff that doesn't reflect the present day.
