409 sriniIt's good to have services that help the people in need but the location in Ashburn doesn't serve the poor who need the service.

416 AnonymousI assure you I will move out of Ashburn if you proceed with this plan. You are simply going to increase crime. Why don't you do it in Herndon. Since it has enough crime i doubt it will make much of a difference.
417 AnonymousI have been an Ashburn resident for 7 years and I am shocked to find out that something so important was not widely communicated and discussed with the community. This something that obviously impacts the neighborhood, Why awareness was not raised before? We are not saying that we don't care about those people on need, but it does not make sense to have in built here in the heart of Ashburn. What is the logic behind this? Ashburn Station resident
418 AnonymousI urge you to reconsider the approval of this shelter.

423 Linda HornMy property backs directly to the proposed GSA administrative office building and homeless shelter. I am very opposed to this type of organization being located in the Ashburn area.

430 BobI urge all the residents in or around Ashburn town to reevaluate to whom they were electing to represent various authorities. My concerns are as follows: 1. If the elected officials might have done their due diligence, we might not be in this mess. I don't see any homeless in or around Ashburn. If the BOS approves any taxpayer’s money to an organization such as GSA they better need to ask what are they doing with this money, if not they better not to approve it. As a side note, I see the taxes or mandatory fees goes up every year. Even though the taxes collected as a percentage of income or value. Every private organization is able to control/reduce the cost using IT or other innovative technologies except the Government. 2. It's a common sense that when an external entity such as GSA asks permission for easements to notify the at least the owners in immediate surroundings and get their feedback. Why the Ashburn Village Home Owners Association failed to do so? What actions are taken by Ashburn Village Home Owners Association board of directors to rectify ongoing problems? 3. In the past as well as now why the BOS are failing to collect funds required for necessary infrastructure from the developers such as roads, libraries, interchanges, schools. I know they were collecting some funds those not event close to what they actually require as a result of that development. What are the elected officials are doing to protect the interests of Ashburn residents? I don't see any major business coming to Ashburn and the one that are exists are leaving. If anyone commuting to DC or Tysons know their pain on sitting Waxpool or Rt 7. Despite so much residential growth in Ashburn/Loudoun it’s shame that we don’t have any new Park & Ride lots. It doesn’t even cost too much for county to add some Park & Ride lots along Major intersections on Greenway and on Route 7 and operate express bus services to Metro/West Falls Church so that we can carpool and reduce the fuel usage. The county should be able ask the developers to provide the Park & Ride lots. Where is the openness in the government? With the technology that we have we should be able to publish every penny that the governments spends on web sites in a such a way that a novice can understand. 4. Despite the housing slowdown why the BOS are approving new housing constructions and or new developments in Loudoun? – I have to believe that most of the BOS have some interest or indirect interests in the new developments. All, I can say is Ashburn Village Home Owners need to do more to protect the interest of the Village and it’s neighbors. I know we can do this, as we are one of the biggest community and majority of us having voting rights.

434 Crissie LilleyI don't think it would be a good idea to bring people like that into our community

441 Anne RedwineOld Ashburn is not the place for this shelter. This is a family oriented neighborhood with many activities centered in Ashburn. The trails will never be safe again if this opens. The crime rate will go up in all areas. Also, this is off the beaten path where the resouces are limited. Route 7 is in the main stream of activities and would serve this community much better. It is also not a family neighborhood. Nov 7 is right around the corner. If I were running for a country position, I would certainly vote against this - that is, if I wanted to win the election.

446 ErikI oppose the construction of the shelters on Ashburn Rd. Also, one of the option that I strongly recommend the Ashburn Village Home Owners Association to consider closing and shielding the entrance located at the intersction of Grottoes Dr and GlenHazel Dr.

448 Renee QuiggI do not approve of bussing homeless people to a shelter in Old Ashburn. It is too close to so many families and my concern is for the safety of the residents.

450 AnonymousI do not want this home in my neighborhood. I don't see any plan for the people to be removed from the area. As a new resident, had I known such a plan was in place almost in my back yard I certainly would not have purchased here. I walk in that area, bike my ride in that area, the W&OD trail is right there. Who knows what could happen. Thanks for taking away my sense of home and safety.
