Comments: I am directly involved with the opening of a new shelter in Toronto. I understand it does not solve the increasing problem of unemployment and homelessness in the city, however, it will provide an alternative to our citizens sleeping on the streets. Our long term goal will be to reconnect these individuals to society through training programs. These programs will assist them in securing employment and permanant housing.
