| 903 | Ray Provo '09 | Many students here on campus are extremely upset about this recent decision. |
| 904 | Mary Varga | Why are you giving an audience for an organization promoting abortion and contraception when in is in direct contrast to the Magisterium of the Church? I pray to Jesus and his Blessed Mother Mary for you. |
| 905 | Rose Dey | Please do not degrade our Catholic church for what it truly stands for by allowing such a group to meet at Holly Cross. |
| 906 | Anonymous | i am appalled by this seminar that is being conducted on behalf of the Holy Cross College. i hope you find the proper thing to do, that is, cancel this program. |

| 908 | Gerarda Brown | Three of my children graduated from Holy Cross College. I am sickened to think that the president of a Catholic college would allow a conference such as this to rent space on campus. Time for Holy Cross to change it's name!!!!! Gerarda Brown |
| 909 | Tom & Norma Denner | What us parents have been teaching our children is going out the door when Planned Parenthood steps in the door!!
Where is abstinence and where are the Catholic Church's teachings at Holy Cross College?
Catholic Youth and ALL Youth need to know that sex is not casual entertainment. It was created as a sacred act in marriage for the married couple to show their undivided love for one another for eternity.
I am not an old fogy, I am still in the prime of my life!
I believe the Knights Of Columbus have every right to dispute this event on your campus, I would not say that there is any discrimination |
| 910 | Fred Kozisek | As a life long Catholic I find it reprehensibe for a "catholic College" to allow an organizaion like planned parenthood to spred their anti life anti Catholic teachings to their students. |
| 911 | Becky Hartman | I am writing to let you know I am praying you will realize the error you made in allowing Planned Parenthood sponsored seminars on Holy Cross Campus. May God's love for you and all life be all the strength you need to draw on to cancel said seminars.
Sincerely,
Becky Hartman
PS I have not had much practice writing letters like this and wish I were better at it but felt an urgency in this situation to try. |

| 913 | Anne Marie Moneta | As the president of a Catholic University, Fr. McFarland, you need to be a leader in the pro-life movement on your campus. I think it is very disappointing that you would defend Planned Parenthood by holding such an event at Holy Cross. Your students deserve a President who will uphold the teachings of the church even when it is difficult. Abortion looks like an easy solution to many college students. They need to be told the truth, and they need leaders who will speak out against the destruction of human life. Abortion itself is a "miserable failure in practice" as well as in theory, and any institution that condones it is as well. |
| 914 | alex bookalam | I wonder if you ever realize the tremendous damage you do to millions of Catholics by lending your name to pro abrtion groups.
Perhaps you should change the name from Holy Cross to holy cow. |
| 915 | Stephen Bagnell | |
| 916 | Bryan Voithofer | Many prayers needed to see through the darkness. |
| 917 | Rose Adams | I have now read about this in several sources. Do NOT give "Planned Parenthood" a forum for their abortion agenda. You should have better sense, judgement and Christian values to avoid such a scandal. You should be REMOVED from your position of authority. |
| 918 | Jennifer Kim | |
| 919 | John L. Vorbach | Outraged , saddened and disappointed in the attitude and position that Fr. McFarland has taken.
My suggestion is that he be removed as President of Holy Cross; for the salvation of his soul he should confine himself to a monastery for the rest of his days. |

| 921 | ANTHONY NICOLLI | |
| 922 | Mary Rogers | I wish to ask Fr. McFarland and Holy Cross college to please remove Planned Parenthood from their campus. Please cancel your event as planned with Planned Parenthood. I will pray that our dear Lord will change your hardened heart. |
| 923 | Anonymous | You let the Devil into a clean house and you will see the caos it will cause!!!!!! I'm very sad! |

| 925 | Terrence J. Mc Comiskey | If you insist on aligning yourself with the PRO-DEATH Movement -
If you insist on DENIGRATING the very reasons
that HOLY CROSS College was fouded -
If you insist on giving SCANDAL to the entire Roman Catholic Priesthood with your Margret Sanger,Naral, murder of the innocents entanglements -
It is your right -
WEVER
We request that you
IMMEDIATELY RESIGN as President of Holy Cross and
RESIGN as a Roman Catholic Priest -->
You are an EMBARRASSMENT both to the Church and to the College.
The fact that this does not bother you is the PROOF of my point.

| 927 | Mary Watson | I read the message from Rev. McFarland and still see it as double-talk. So I understand that Holy Cross entered into an agreement to rent the facilities at the Hogan Campus Center to a diverse group and then you found out the group included Planned Parenthood and NARAL. The two largest supporters of abortion, an intrinsic evil. To quote his statement " Holy Cross is committed to its mission of engaging with the larger culture on even the most problematic and divisive of moral and spiritual issues." What does he mean by "engaging"? Is Rev. McFarland implying there was some sort of debate? Of course there wasn't a debate. Which begs the question, what group would be a deal-breaker for Rev. McFarland? If Planned Parenthood and NARAL, two of the most evil "providers" in the country, aren't a deal breaker what is next? Planned Parenthood and NARAL may be considered mainstream in America, but in the Catholic Church, they are an enemy of life. Allowing these groups to be part of a conference on a Catholic campus is like inviting the clan to engage in a conference. Your statement says, "As an institution of higher learning, we are dedicated to the open exchange of ideas." This sounds like moral relativism in action. I will make sure our children attend a college that is dedicated renting space to groups that support Catholic teaching. Thanks for your response, but the leadership at Holy Cross is disappointing.
Sincerely,
Mary Watson |

| 929 | Alvera Keene | It is very unsettling, to say the least, that a college of your stature would permit Planned Parenthood and Naral to give presentations at a seminar on your campus. It is a slap in the face to all Catholics who love and treasure our faith. How can students learn right from wrong when they are presented this type of seminar. Please reconsider your decision. Thank you. |
| 930 | Patricia Labanowski | I am a retired RN.I have seen the propaganda distributed at the Planned Parenthood sites. They deal in MURDER.Fr..Newman should witness an abortion.Abortions done on minors are not reported to the police statrutory rape.disgusting.. |
| 931 | Fr Garry Welsh | what a disgrace to all Catholics that this was allowed to happen, Fr McFarland should be forced to step down and a CATHOLIC priest put in his place, what a disgrace the Jesuit order has become |
| 932 | Anonymous | Dear Father McFarland,
This is to remind you that whether you agree with the Catholic Church's teachings or not, you were ordained a priest with the understanding that you would follow it's teachings in a respected and good moral sense. I do not advocate birth control because if you may remember, God punished that man's brother for not completing what he was supposed to do to impregnate his brother's wife, since he had died. That alone should tell you that God does not approve of birth control. By letting Planned Parenthood on campus, you would then be misleading your students. Clearly this would be wrong. so, please cooperate with the Students for Life and the Bishop and don't allow them to be there at anytime.
Thank you. |

| 935 | Glenn Grieco | How can the school be so blind to the evil of PP and ACLU? Disobedience to the Bishop! What does a college gain if it is admired by the whole world but loses its soul in the process? Disgusting, revolting. I will no longer contribute to Alma Mater. |
