| 753 | Michael Rogero | Stopped this outrage in allowing Planned Parenthood to speak on the campus of Holy Cross. What an insult to our Faith and God. I urge you to stop this event now.
There is no courage in allowing evil to get their say. Courage comes in shunning evil in all its form. That the vow you took Fr. Mc Farland when you became a Priest. |
| 754 | Anonymous | Although Fr. McFarland's concern for teen pregnancy may be sincere, he should consider educating himself and others on birth control methods approved by the Catholic Church, like Natural Family Planning. |
| 755 | Paul Stollenwerk | If this "seminar" is permissible, what do we stand for anymore? |

| 758 | Jessica Michaud | Please reconsider what you are allowing to happen. The repercussions from a decision such as this cannot be taken lightly. Please remember the original spirit in which Holy Cross was established and remain tru to it, in all its integrity. Thank you for your attention to such a delicate and vital matter. |
| 759 | shirley Soltes | despie the fact that hese evil roganizations (killers of mankind want to use zHoly Cross as heir venue
it does reflect that Holy Cross is ok. withthat. Do not use their blood money to support your college.
and yes students will probably attend this function- what is to stop them? we cannot allow their evil teachings to the catholicstudents of Holy Cross.
Letsd stand up and be proud of our teachings let alone have these organizations teach what we are trying to overcome. |
| 760 | Dave and Ann Kowalczyk | The John Paul II Generation is not shunning Planned Parenthood in the "public eye." They are shunning Planned Parenthood on a "once known Catholic Institution of Higher Learning." It is this style of lack of leadership that destroys Truth as well as Catholic Identity. If the Church is weak in teaching Truth, it is due, in a great part to lack of leadership like this. Dave & Ann Kowalczyk |

| 763 | roxolana | I am apolled at Fr. Mc Farlands stand, being a representative of the Catholic Church who teaches us and condemns abortion.Hopefully the Holy Spirit will ascend upon you and will guide you in truth. |
| 764 | Julia Owens | Fr. McFarland,
In obedience to the teachings of the Catholic Church and to Jesus Christ its founder, I am asking that you cancel the event at Holy Cross College on October 24th and not allow the Massachusetts Alliance on Teen Pregnancy to hold its seminar on campus.
I will be praying that the Holy Spirit guide you.
Thank you,
Julia Owens |
| 765 | John & Kelly Starman | We are deeply saddened that a Catholic college would provide any support to such organizations as Planned Parenthood or NARAL, no matter what or how mundane the college may think the support is. To see the local priest behave as he is toward the bishop's wish is also very disappointing and disturbing. In no way will Holy Cross get any of our support, other than prayers to have the Blessed Trinity open their eyes. Oh, how the Sacred Heart of Jesus must feel! |

| 767 | Leslie Bond Diggins '84 | I graduated from Holy Cross in 1984 and, implementing the social justice ethic learned there, worked full time for eight years in the pro-life movement. What are you teaching your students now? Social justice for the politically correct, apparently. I am ashamed of you, and of my affiliation with you. To defy the Bishop in order to apease those who are totally opposed to everything for which the Catholic Church stands! Check your priorities. And change your stand. |

| 769 | Ruth Schiavone | I am deeply grateful to the Holy Cross Students for Life for their witness in this grave matter. As a sidewalk counselor at Planned Parenthood, Boston, I can attest to the insidious devices they use to lull the public into the acceptance of abortion.
This is one of them. The name "Holy Cross" is as far from P.P. as heaven is from hell. |

| 772 | Margaret Gould | Please respect life and the Catholic teaching on life. Planned Parenthood has their own agenda and they don't respect the Catholic position. Keep life precious! |

| 780 | Anonymous | I will continue to pray for Fr. McFarland and all who support directly or indirectly Planned Parenthood the largest chain of facilities that kill babies. Having them on the grounds of the college you are sending a message that what they do is okay. |

| 782 | T. J. Mulich, Jr. | Fr. McFarland,

| 790 | Esther Delagrange | How can you possibly promote Planned Parenthood by allowing them to come to the campus promoting their agenda which goes AGAINST the Catholic Church teachings?! Please reconsider. |
| 791 | Shelly Stone | First of all, why wouldn't the president of a Catholic College listen to his Bishop??? Planned Parenthood kills thousands of babies each year and goes against all Catholic teaching on contraception (which leads to the abortion mentality) and you want to give them a fair shake. Give me a break ! |
| 792 | Theresa Rivelli | Please cancel the presentation schedule for Oct 24th by the Massachusetts Alliance on Teen Pregnancy. Allowing this would be a win for the Evil one. |

| 795 | Mary Brooks | Please do not give the NARAL and Planned Parenthood a toehold. Their agenda is dangerous and completely against the sacredness of the individuality of life. Please choose not to be ruled by them and those who own them. |
| 796 | Anonymous | I am a mental health professional. I have treated hundreds of women for problems related to abortion. Planned Parenthood is the largest provider of abortions in the U.S. They do not belong on college campuses.
Former abortion clinic owner Carol Everett tells publicly how she intentionally made sure that every girl coming to her abortion clinics would get a pack of low dose birth control pills. Her goal was to sell every girl at least 5 abortions before she got of out of high school--5 abortions for every girl between ages 13 and 18. The low dose contraceptive pills were part of her marketing strategy because girls will become pregnant while on the pill, then they will think they need an abortion. Birth control and increased sexual activity contribute to the abortion problem which then contributes to increased mental health problems in young women--take a look at Fergusson's 2006 study of young women in New Zealand, who had drastic increases in depression and suicidal ideation after an abortion, though those who were pregnant but did not abort were statistically the same as those who never got pregnant. Abortion is causing problems for many young women. Fregusson's study showed the most harmful effects for the youngest women.
I see from the brochure on this conference at Holy Cross, it is not so much about abortion per se, but about preventing or dealing with teen pregnancy. I see they will be considering prevention of disease as well. That would mean Abstinence until Marriage, but I don't think that is on NARAL's agenda or Planned Parenthood's Agenda. Abstinence until Marriage is the only program that will decrease sexually transmitted diseases and truly prevent pregnancy as well. There are many studies showing abstinence does work, and that young people will commit to abstinence when properly presented. But that is not the focus of this conference.
I am very saddened to see that this conference is taking place on a Catholic campus. |
| 797 | Bianca C. Brophy | Planned Parenthood and its allies do not belong at Holy Cross! (Why can't they go to the Centrum?) |
| 798 | Diane Bertin | Please cancel the event and be the college that you're suppose to be like Franciscan University or Ave Maria. God will reward you if you put him and his way of life first! |
| 799 | Margaret Richmond | Father McFarland: Why is it that we have to continue to petetition you folks to do what you should be doing on your own? Either take the Catholic name off your college r obey the Magistrate--how difficult can that be? |
