This petition DEMANDS the United States Government; as the people's representatives, to apprehend Joseph Kony and hand him over to the United Nations to be tried for war crimes, crimes against the African people and all of humanity. This is a movement to help end the suffering of the African people in Uganda and 3 other African countries that border it that has been caused by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) lead by Joseph Kony. Over the past 28 years Joseph Kony has lead terror throughout countries starting in Uganda and spreading elsewhere. He has abducted at least 50,000 children reported and many other which have not been reported. He has killed, tortured or raped many more people. The abducted youth are typically age 8-14 since these are the easiest to brain wash. He makes the males kill or have their limbs cut off and be tortured. He gets them hooked on drugs and then sends them into villages and gives them quotas of how many people to kill. if they don't meet the quota they are killed or tortured. The girls, he turns into sex slaves. They rape, abuse, beat, and eventually kill most of the girls they abduct. There are multiple generations of Africans who live in constant fear, who have PTSD, who are unable to function even after escaping Kony's regime. This is NOT just an African problem. By Kony removing the youth from these countries he is crippling the countries and sending them in a downward spiral; taking away leaders and the focus to do anything but stay alive. By signing this petition you are saying that you believe every person, from every country and continent of every age, gender or race has the right to live free from fear, abuse, torture or untimely death. Demand that the United States politicians to open their eyes and bring this criminal to justice. If we continue to ignore his crimes this war will never end. Thousands of more children will be abducted and tortured, and thousands upon thousands more will be killed at the hands of Kony's orders.
