Too many of our politicians care more for their political future than they do for the public whom they represent.  They must be held accountable for their disregard of the impact of their blind adherance to previous pledges and safeguarding their political futures upon we, the people, and upon the US economy. We, the undersigned, petition President Obama to demand that the congressional XMas/New Years recess be postponed until and if a meaningful comprehensive and productive fiscal cliff bill is enacted and signed into law. We further petition the U.S. Treasury to withold December congressional salaries if such a bill is not enacted and signed prior to December 31st, and that subsequent 2013 monthly congressional  salaries be witheld until the bill is passed and signed by the President.
