Comments: It was the school mistake because they didn't even have a rule or regilation in place and if they did none of it employee's new how to read or understand it. Read the report at this web page (page #4 bottom paragraph) (Bill Scheu report on FSCJ Pell Grant problems) at http://www.scribd.com/doc/102304942/Bill-Scheu-Report-on-FSCJ-Pell-Grant-problems

Comments: FSCJ says I owe them over $1800 in back financial aid. I didn't even receive a Pell grant for that amount back then. I think they are charging me to make up money for the huge penalty the government placed on them for their mis-filing. This was for an appeal made almost 5 years ago! I did everything and gave every document that the college ask me for when I applied for financial aid appeal, but it seems the college filed the appeal incorrectly.

Comments: FSCJ is the most poorly administered college I've ever seen--and I've attended three colleges/universities. My girlfriend attends FSCJ and we are constantly trying to fix their incompetence. They have one line for everything at the Kent Campus, but only once you get to the front of the line do they tell who you need to talk to--where you often wait in another line. They required my girlfriend who holds an associate's degree from a Florida public college and who had been enrolled at FSCJ in Fall 2011, to provide a copy of her high school transcript before allowing her to re-enroll for Fall 2012. They routinely run past their own deadlines for releasing her grant money/financial aid to her bank account; for example grant money that their website should have been released 2/01/2013 wasn't released until 2/28/2013. The staff , while perhaps well-meaning, are often incompetent, and the administration exhibits suspicious, and borderline criminal conduct in their policies and actions.

Comments: not positive about the email address so here is my personal email ::: shaninritter@yahoo.com The mistakes that this college makes is outrageous, the blame for everything is put upon the paying students. Get rid of these administrators who cost education millions, but do not provide ANYthing to students, only their pockets !!!! Fire administration because it's costing tax payers and students as well as the government.,

Comments: I just received an email from the college stating I owe part on the debt as well, $1,004.00 to be exact. I have not attended this school in over 2 years and they expect me to pay this back to them now. I agree with the statement that it is their fault and they are supposed to be the experts, but instead they were lazy and unprofessional in dealing with the well being of the students. They have asked for a promissory note signed along with payments made by check to the company that is in charge of collecting their debt Enterprise Recovery Systems, Inc. I will be very interested to see how this proceeds, or if there is any other news that pertains to this situation. I refuse to sign a promissory note and give up money that I do not have to pay back a mistake that is not even mine.
