Insofar as international corporations, and by inference, their shareholders, are largely responsible for the development, sale, and export of instruments of violence and torture, let these corporations and their shareholders, also be held responsible for the violence and torture committed with their use. Let the United Nations set up a Corporate War Crimes committee and draft an International Convention, that states clearly under what conditions corporate entities and their shareholders can be held responsible for such crimes. And let the United Nations draft a resolution on the extent to which each and every shareholder will be tried and sentenced for participation in such war crimes just like any other criminal whose crime is against humanity. Let the Resolution and the Convention clearly state how such punishment will be meted out, and give the UN power to enforce such provisions.
