The Amherstburg Minor Hockey Association has put forth a motion at the June 7/8 OMHA Annual General Meeting to restrict hockey play down games from being scheduled for a period of seven days during March Break. We strongly support this motion and seek your support in achieving a majority vote to help get it passed. Discussions we’ve had with hockey families reveal some frustration with the lack of “break” in hockey during March break. Why? Taking a break from hockey at March break can: ● Allow for family time and “downtime” during March break, ● Help us plan family visits, activities and travel well in advance, ● Help keep the team together and support our coaches by ensuring a full roster during play downs, and ● Address the needs of all of our family members, including working parents and siblings. We need your help to pass the motion at the AGM. If you support taking a break from hockey at March break, please: 1.
