At an emergency board meeting parents will be asking that you direct the district to stop any further investigation of National Lewis as any kind of emergency solution for short or long term displacement and start looking into the following possible options instead.
We are asking for an emergency meeting to discuss...


Continue split sessions at CHMS (approved by the state through 2/28)- if needed past next week.( This may be resolved byMondaybut still should be in petition)Continue split schedule, but expand core classes to 50 minutes and find a local venue to host the encore classes forall middle school students while not at CHMS.Holding classes in a neighboring school (including D181 and D86 schools)Keep 6th & 7th grade at CHMS, send 8th grade to HCHS if possibleKeep 5th graders next year at their elementary schools( possibly in mobiles) and have current 6th and 7th graders attend CHMS district wide until HMS repaired fully or new school approved and built , if necessary. Long term solution.
