Name: Jamie Schumacher on Jun 16, 2005State: MNCountry: USComments: I recently moved from the Lakewood/Alamitos area to Minneapolis Minnesota. While I was in Lakewood I underwent surgery to remove two fibroadenomas. I was denied my post surgery mammogram even though it was part of the procedure and I had referrals from THREE different doctors, my general practitioner, my gynecologist, AND my surgeon! The Health care industry treats its patients with concern for profit, rather than with the care they are supposed to provide- the care they are PAID to provide! The insurance companies need to be held accountable.Flag

Name: Donna Lynn Francis on Jun 16, 2005State: IDCountry: USComments: I had to have a stem cell transplant in January for recurring Hodgkins Lymphoma. When I was told in the early stages of treatment that my particular "type" of cancer might not be covered and that the transplant might not be covered I was devastated. I feel that ALL chances should be afforded those who have paid their premimums and counted on the care and treatments needed being available. Since this Doctor has so generously volenteered to do the surgery at no cost, the VERY LEAST the insurance company could do would be to cover the extended costs. To refuse amounts to a death sentence for this wonderful woman.Flag

Name: Meriden Kotelec on Jun 16, 2005State:Country: USComments: No one should have to beg an insurance company for a procedure that might save their life. This is just another instance of insurance companies putting profit before the lives of people who pay the premiums. This borders on the criminal.Flag

Name: Kristie Yoder on Jun 16, 2005State: NDCountry:Comments: She has the insurance policy, and all forms of health concerns need to be covered. To the fullest of the policy. It is just wrong that she is denied surgery when he has coverage. You are a company to save lives not take them away by denying life saving options. The last thing she needs and others need that are in the same situation is more added stress to the health issue. Thanks just my 5 cents. Kristie YoderFlag
