Are you fed up of people saying they do not accept HM Forces ID cards or offer discount yet they will for students, emergency services and the NHS in a lot of places? This petition is to get any HM Forces ID recognised like other ID cards which are given discounts where offered. It is also a shambles that members of the military do not always get discounts into military museums. Why is it that places like America take pride in their troops; that armed forces personnel can show their ID cards and be offered discounts in a variety of places: shops, restaurants and even get free entry into places for example Disneyland. We are shown respect there and yet in Britain we are more likely to get beaten up or worse. The Armed forces need to be recognised more in this country for what they do and do well. It is time for those who choose to help defend this country and allow people their freedoms to be recognised and given something back. It is about time Britain took pride in its military and supported our troops.
