Longmont Colorado Landmark / Hanna House (415 Terry)

The Clarence E. and Mrytie Hanna House, built in 1929, at 415 Terry Street in Longmont, Colorado by Clarence E. and Mrytie Hanna portrays architectural style of 1920 – 1930 Terry Street homes, which includes homes of more modest size and scale rising gradually from the Longmont Main Street business district toward the larger Thompson Park homes.

Clarence E. Hanna was a widely known Longmont businessman and former City Councilman. Clarence E. Hanna was born April 18, 1887 in Charleston, Illinois and came to Longmont with his family in 1918. Along with T. J. Wallace, was secretary and general manager of an automobile garage located at 506 Fifth Avenue. For eight years, Clarence E. Hanna served as councilman from Ward 2, being elected in 1927, and retiring in 1935.

By signing this petition, I agree that the Hanna House (415 Terry) meets the criteria for landmark designation by the city of Longmont without the consent of the owner including, the proposed landmark:

- Is at least fifty years old.
- Has character, interest, or value as part of the development, or the cultural, artistic, social, ethnic, economic, political, technological or institutional heritage, of Longmont, Boulder County, Weld County, the state of Colorado, or the United States.
- Is identified with a person or persons who significantly contributed to the development, or the cultural, artistic, social, ethnic, economic, political, technological or institutional heritage, of Longmont, Boulder County, Weld County, the state of Colorado, or the United States.
- Portrays a historic era characterized by a distinctive architectural style.
- Represents an established and familiar visual feature of neighborhood, community, or the city of Longmont.
- Has extraordinary historic importance.
