On June 27, 2006 the United States Senate voted on a resolution to place a federal ban on desecration of the United States flag. Unfortunately, our Senators chose to vote this proposal down. The House already passed the resolution, which by 2/3 vote in the Senate would make this the 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution, thus making desecration of our national symbol a federal crime. It is time to stand together and protect our flag! Sign this petition and show our senators, who WE put into office to SERVE US that we will NOT tolerate this criminal activity any longer! Anyone burning the Flag of the United States should be punished for this cowardly act! Take action and sign now!
