Comments: I spoke to the intended developer of the Brooks property, and he says he is just trying to get our attention. He does not want to destroy the house, but to move it back on land he is trying to buy adjacent to Brooks.

Comments: I do not live in Delaware but it is the home of my ancesters. Please do not take away any more wonderful historical sites, too many have already disappeared. Remember, once they are destroyed there is no replacing.

Comments: Sussex County in lower Delawre is experiencing similiar problems on a smaller scale with developers purchasing properties within the resort communities, demolishing the old buildings and building the largest structures that the building codes will allow. The City Commissioners are considering legislation to slow this down but it is virtually impossible to stop. It's all about money and land value continues to escalate. We will contimue to resist these trends but we need some enovative ideas to work with.
