Why Dustin Truitt?
He has displayed his loyalty and love for the University of New Mexico Spirit Program as a member and now as an alumni on countless occasions. Dustin has attended all football and basketball (even some soccer and volleyball) games as an alumni, UNM Athletics sponsored events, and UNM Spirit Program performances. He has also provided a facility and coaching, free of charge, for current members to have extra practice on their own time. Dustin has never once asked for anything in return and continues to give regardless of the fact that his efforts are rarely acknowledged. He truly cares for the well-being of our program, and what better quality is there for a coach to have? What UNM needs is someone who is willing to stay despite how hard or difficult it may be.
Dustin has an immense passion to take this program and mold it into something great! He has been there through the good and the bad, and will do whatever it takes to make this program successful.
