| 515 | keith | york | GA | It's almost like there is a conspiracy to destroy our youth. There are just as many positive hip hop albums made as their are ignorant, yet the ignorance floods the airwaves. |

| 522 | Derek | Johnson | NY | It's good to see that
emcees such as KRS-One,
Chuck D,PARIS,Immortal
Technique,Talib Kweli
aren't willing to compromise integrity just
to achieve radio airplay.
I don't believe that the
New York City based stations will ever play
socially conscious content.Radio programmers
on these stations are
guilty of promoting
negative and destructive
messages to the youth. |

| 538 | michael | patterson | LA | I think this petition is a great(und greatly under-appreciated)first step to the industry seeing what we want. I myself am a struggling artist that is tired of hearing and seeing the music business patronize our youth. I support this whole-heartedly. |
| 539 | Lallo | Vigil | CO | This sounds like a great idea. I love hip-hop and we don't need to let hip-hop music be filled with drug, sex, and violent references. |

| 549 | Ayana | Sellassie | CA | I support the efforts you all are making 100 percent. Young people are highly influenced by what they see on tv and hear on the radio.
And I too hold the media, record companies, and companies like clear channel accountable for forcing the idea to young people that bad is good. |
| 550 | Hip Hopper | 247 | CA | I believe there should be a balance of Hip-Hop Music promoted on the Radio... Party Songs, To Concious Songs... Also there should be a balance of Unsigned To Signed Hip-Hop acts... The Radio is very one-sided since the days that "Clear Channel" Took over, of having Mainstream artists records played over Local Artists to Unsigned artists... I hope there can be a balance of Hip-Hop music that is played, in the upcoming years, or else we're going to have a redundant cycle of MC's writing about the same subject matter that has been talked about before, and Producers make beats that use samples that have been already been used by another producer... I want to see the Radio at least Promote a Balance of Hip-Hop, so all spectrums are represented, and this music can advance beyond a redundant sound... |
