We, the undersigned, as Hillsborough County, FL residents, wish to have Lisa Walker and Tim Golden terminated from the Animal Control Advisory Committee of our county.

Both of the above-listed AAC members are dog breeders.  We find dog breeding to be contrary to the goals of Hillsborough County Animal Services.  There is no such thing as responsible breeding, as long as thousands of healthy and adoptable dogs are being euthanized at HCAS.

Having dog breeders on our AAC board would be similar to a group like PETA, appointing a furrrier, veal farmer, or seal hunger to their board.

Based on the county's budget problems, and high euthanasia rate, we believe every AAC member should support spaying/neutering, and adoption.  We find that dog breeding, and selling unsterilized dogs to the public (who then may also breed), is unacceptable, as we are experiencing a dog overpopulation epidemic.

There were _______ dogs euthanized at HCAS last year, of which _____% were Pit Bulls, the breed that Lisa Walker chooses to breed.

Furthermore, based on public blogs written by both Ms Walker and Mr Golden,  it is evident that have strong feelings about not allowing ANY governmental entity to interfer with their breeding business/hobby.  We are of the strong impression that the reason they are sitting on the AAC board is NOT to save taxpayer monies, nor to save the lives of HCAS shelter dogs, but rather to control the reins of governmental intervention into their business/hobby.

Our priority is reducing the intake and euthanasia rates at HCAS.  Therefore, we find it inapprorpriate that you would allow someone who is contritubing to our overpopulation problem to sit on our county's AAC board.

Just as a kennel club would not allow someone who does not support breeding to sit on their board, we find it inappropriate to have a breeder sit on the board for our county's shelter.

We must work together to fight the overpopulation problem we are facing in our county, to include having AAC board members who feel strongly about reducing the number of dogs being born.  They must understand that the more dogs who are born, the more dogs to be killed at HCAS.  They must support spaying/neutering, and adoption of the animals at HCAS.

We find that Lisa Walker and Tim Golden have self-serving goals, which are contrary to the efforts of HCAS... golas which do not benefit our shelter dogs -- nor our taxpayers.

We request that this impropriety be acknowledged by Commissioners Sharpe and _______, and these breeders immediately be replaced with people who are instead passionate about spaying/neutering, and rescuing/adoption of our county's companion animals.
