Recognizing Talented High School Music Students

We, the undersigned, ask that consideration be given by the media in recognizing the talents of our gifted high school music students in a similar fashion that is currently provided for scholastic sports achievements. Every spring, through a rigorous audition process, high school music students in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts are chosen to participate in either Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Concert Band, or Chorus for an All-State Music Concert, this year being held at Boston Symphony Hall on March 29th. While we applaud your efforts to honor the accomplishments of our young athletes, we encourage you to provide public awareness for the next generation of musicians being nurtured in the Commonwealth.
