There are way too many unsolved violent crimes (including rape, assault, theft, and vandalism) occurring in Eugene, OR in the downtown area.
There is a lack of working cameras, security guards and patrol in this area, especially after dark.
By signing this petition you are in agreement that the City of Eugene needs to install working cameras in key areas such as the public parking lots and garages, in addition to having security guards and/or patrol the downtown on a more consistent basis. This could not only decrease the crime but it will allow officials to catch the scoundrels that are responsible for such senseless, hurtful, costly crimes.
