Running games wine or ported using winelib were the only option for linux gamers for many years. I buy humble bundle games almost entirely because of the importance of having native games on linux.Flag

Name: Jonathan Fok on Jun 3, 2012Comments: I feel cheated that I was not told upfront that some of the games did not have native Linux support. I am still grateful for the Linux support anyway, but I will be much more careful next time. With my trust broken, This will make me think twice before getting the next bundle and of how much I will contribute.Flag

Name: Marshall Conover on Jun 3, 2012Comments: I love the HIB, and I generally find OSS petitions to be pedantic and overly idealistic, such as the removal of Mono from linux distros. However, in this case, I agree - porting instead of natively compiling can only hurt the community. Compiling a native app for a community that is a noticeable chunk of your revenue is something that is reasonable to expect. Thank you for your time, and for your games.Flag
