Professor Perry Lynch
HFT 3519, Spring 2012, Event Services, Tuesday-Thursday's 12:00pm-1:15pm
By creating this petition I am under the impression that most of you are not happy about the grades you have received for this Spring 2013 Event Services Class. I know all of us have worked extremely hard only to be set up for failure. I have begun this petition, not to allow students to sign their name in order to be questioned, not to have the professor fired or have accusations placed against him. I have created this petition to request that his grading system be evaluated and possibly changed. I will not be showing this petition to the Dean in order for him to question every student who signs this, I will be showing him this in order for him to see that I, along with a few of the other classmates, that we are not alone. I personally have never failed a class and along with having to retake this class you will be having to pay, I know many of you are relying on Bright Futures, Financial Aid, and your GPA. So again, if you choose to sign, you will not be faced with repercussions, I will only be revealing to the Dean HOW MANY of us want a better grade, one we worked for, and feel as though his grading system is unfair.
Thank you for your time.

Alexandre Bersell, United States2 years ago Comments: The "grading" system Mr. Lynch has created leaves too much space for his opinion of what your grade should be, instead of how well you have done on the assignments. Furthermore, the testing system he has created is unreliable. This class has left me and others with a feeling that we have learned absolutely nothing.

Devin Sauer, United States2 years ago Comments: This class was a great class, with great lectures and teachings. However, I personally failed his class because he refused to grade the first assignment I turned into him because he believed I altered his work by copying another students blank paper and filling the answers in on my own. He gave me a zero on the first assignment because it didn't have his personal written number on the top of the sheet. I think his grading scale should be changed to the way professors usually grade classes, especially because his class is already hard to begin with.
