How dare someone want to ruin everyone else pleasure, just for their own selfish means. It has got to stop, the ME society is growing like a cancer.Flag

Name: R. Franklin on Jan 12, 2013Comments: This is seen as a stalking horse by which to populate South Somerset with a herd of these costly, inefficient, unsightly and unhealthy erections. Far better to adopt the solar panel technology - efficient, low rise, silent and low maintenance - as already in place at a neighbouring farm.Flag

Name: Tristan Veale on Jan 17, 2013Comments: As a resident of Hewish and a sufferer from sleep deprivation the prospect of the erection of this wind turbine could severely impact upon my health. The effects of wind turbines troubling sleep patterns are proven and well documented and this would be detrimental for all nearby residents.Flag

Name: Simon Titchener on Jan 18, 2013Comments: Yet again another small comunity being taken advantage of in the search of gain by a few greedy inderviduals who use the excuse that they are in some way saving the world and securing the future for our children. I have worked in an African country for 5 years and are used to these types of crazy projects they call it Green Washing it is all about money and nothing else this turbine could bring in £700k p/a tax free so even the tax payer gets nothing out of it!! Boycot Waitrose and Coombe Farm Products and even block the lanes so ther products canot get to the shops. Boycot anything to do with the Parish council as they are not interested in the very people they are suposed to represent, idiots all of them and that is being polite!Flag

Name: Christopher Little on Jan 19, 2013Comments: Isolated devices such as this are a real blot on the landscape. The beauty of the landscape is for all to share and anything which diminishes that enjoyment, before it is allowed, should be given the considered opinion of all sides, not just those of the proponents. Clearly, little or no consideration has been given to the views of local residents. This is unacceptable and the permission for this tower should not be given until the views of all parties have been properly voiced and considered.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 20, 2013Comments: I moved to the area for the peace and quiet, the beautiful unspoilt countryside and the wonderful wildlife in this area. Currently this is the 360 degree view from our house so a wind turbine would not be a welcome addition to this amazing rural landscape. I cannot comprehend the vast size of this proposed turbine and the massive implication in such a small rural community. There will be noise pollution. Once one turbine has been approved this will set a precedent for further applications in the area. The developments in Crewkerne are gradually creeping over the hill into this rural are please don't allow a 'development' to be planted in the middle of the countryside.Flag

Ah well, at least it is NIMBY if it were then I'd be livid.Whilst we will all need renewable energy solutions they do require careful thought;none seems to have been given to this project.Flag
