Coventry's main post office in Hertford Street has been earmarked for closure and its facilities moved to WH Smith in West Orchard shopping centre. This will result in a much smaller post office and the inevitable loss of services. Smaller premises inside a shop will also result in longer queues and congestion. We insist that the Post Office facilities must stay in Hertford Street. This valuable service to Coventry must not disappear.

Adrian House, Europe7 years ago Comments: Another nail in the coffin of Coventry as a major city. How can the city be taken seriously when important central services like the Post Office are relegated to the back of a shop!
Olga Siddons, United Kingdom7 years ago Comments: I am exceedingly fond of and value the services of Hertford St Post office- I fear there would be enormous queues if this was moved to WH Smiths, moreover there is a whole cultural & community element here. The PO staff are doing a fantastic job, I believe ! Please here one more plea for keeping the PO intact.
