Name: S.smith@all-worldwide.com on Dec 7, 2012Comments: Please don't ruin a bustling, thriving place of historic interest and local enterprise. A enclave that is driving the market-town rebirth and successfully, I shop there because it delights me. Having a tesco won't increase residential property value, nor footfall, if anything, it would decrease the area's appeal. Becoming mainstream is no selling point for a community. I'm interested to see the effects of the Picture House cinema/library/community building in West Norwood - a high street that has perhaps been degraded by the abundance of 1-stop supermarkets (Tesco; Sainsbury and Co-op within 50 yards of each other). Use your imagination and perhaps draft in a visionary to find alternative rent-paying tenants that can involve and inspire locals rather than spoon-feed us stuff we don't need. ThanksFlag
