Comments: These cuts obviously victimize the lower and middle classes of elderly citizens. We may be over the hill, but we can still vote!

Comments: As a patient with a "rare disorder" Medicare is the only insurance that I have. I am unable to get private insurance due to this condition. It has been difficult as it is to pay for the cost of treatment without more cuts in the medicare system. Due to my age (46) I am not qualified for any other assistance including prescription medications.

Comments: As a long term care professional & the daughter of one of our nation's elderly, I urge you to reconsider cutting benefits to those Americans who spent the majority of their working years earning extremely low wages and struggling to raise their families. My Mother is one of those Americans. As a single parent she worked for meager wages to raise my sister and myself. I feel it is extremely unfair for her and others like her to suffer inadequate healthcare cuts. She and others like her richly deserve only the best healthcare and benefits for they are the ones who helped build this great nation to what it is today. We,as a nation, need to cherish, take care and embrace our elderly for all the many sacrifices they have made not only for their families but for our country.

Comments: Skilled care facilities already provide shoddy care to residents these days. How can cutting Medicare Reimbursement improve that The people behind this plan will be elderly in the future. Maybe they're rich and can afford the best nurses, but that's right now and things have a way of changing. I hope no one's wiping your butts halfway, ignoring bedsores, and spitting in your purreed breakfasts when you're sitting in one of the facilities you're injuring now with reimbursement cuts.

Comments: I am a disabled person and I am barely making it now. I have to take the cheapest medications and use the generics and the doctor does not like me to do that but I have no choice. I am so scared that I am going to be left without any coverage for something I really need, I think about suicide. I am afraid to go into ER without an anthegelogist, I am a high risk, I think I would not have the courage to have the operation. Now you are taking away Skilled nursing home care, if you are going to do this, the least you can do is make assisted suicide legal. You do not want to care for us after we have paid in all these years, so let us go and not leave us to suffer in pain. It is not fair that congress who is full of drunks, liars, and cheaters should be able to make these decisions for us. Make them use medicare and no other insurance. You cannot even get a doctors appt. anymore, they do not want you, because Medicare pays them so little back. Health in this country is based on how much money you have, I think that is horrid, you think this is better then socialed medicine I don't know what to think. Of course you have rasied the age to retire up so much if you are lucky most people will be dead by then. I say congress should have same health care as everyone else and then see what happens. It is the only way they will understand what it is like.

Comments: It is so sad how our elderly are forgotten after spending a lifetime being good taxpaying citizens. Now when they need us most,we are letting them down by medicare cuts and high costs. It is a shame that they have no where to go ,especially if nursing homes are forced to close. Please reconsider the cuts. Thanks, Mary Hackworth

Comments: Please help our elderly and restore Medicare Funding. So many LTC facilities have had to close their doors because of the cuts that have already been done. They cannot financially afford to remain open and running. The elderly are dependent on NH to provide them with good/quality care. They cannot be provided the care that they so deserve if the funding is not there. Please don't keep allowing these doors to be closed.
