Comments: Stop spending millions of dollars telling people where the "bad" nursing homes are! Come and look at the thousands upon thousands of good ones and where they spend their money.Look at an elderly person who has 3 or 4 diagnoses. How are they supposed to decide which one is the most critical. They can't handle it in the community and they end up in a hospital so how much money did you save This is the most powerful country in the world and you cannot treat your elders with respect and care. Shame on you.

Comments: People can not make it now on medicare. With medicine and the cost of living being so high, how are we going to make it with more cuts Or does it matter to people who have enough money to be live, eat and pay for meds.

Comments: I work in a long term care facility. With the rising cost of medical care and now medicare cuts I have a great concern for the future of long term care. Not enough money to care for residents and not enough money for staffing to provide the care.

Comments: We need to take care of our elderly, and those in need of short and long term care. We are a compassionate country and help many in other countries with their needs, but we are failing our own. To many people in America go without good medical attention because of the costs.

Comments: The $1500 cap on therapy services (PT-ST and OT respectively) as well as the loss of add-ons that were put in place are devastating to provision of care. The moratorium of the cap and the add-ons were put into place while changes were to be explored and proposed - to take these away without any changes to the system will create the same deficit that required them in the first place. Please pass legislation that will continue the moratorium on the cap and replace funds to the system until changes to the system can be made.

Comments: The cuts to Medicare A patients are a travesty! We have large numbers of complex care skilled patients in our hospital that have NO WHERE to go (except our hospital based SNU - and we lose lots of money on these patients and out unit is being threatened to be closed because of this)because community based skilled units will not take these patients because of the cost involved.

Comments: Our patients come back from the Hospital weak, frail and need more assistance and time to recover. Further cuts contribute to the multiple readmissions to the hospital which usually in the end cost more than providing long term care with funds needed.

Comments: I'm from the lowest reimbursed state in the nation and we are struggling. MDs are starting to refuse to take care of Medicare patients because they can't afford to treat them with their low reimbursement. We are having difficulty attracting quality nurses because of the lower salaries and very long hours of work. And now there will be further Medicare cuts!! We need help NOW!!!
