we actually did it and mepal is going to stay open. i cant thank you enough for sticking with this when it seemed like the doors were closing for good. keep an eye on the blog because we still have a lot of work ahead to keep things running smoothly.

Final supporters
Mepal Outdoor Centre in Cambridgeshire may be forced to close its doors at the end of October 2012; this is due to a lack of funds. A support team is trying to do everything possible to stop this happening.

just saw we hit 100 signatures today so i wanted to say thanks for helping keep the pressure on. seriously didnt think id see this many people rally for mepal so quickly.

im honestly blown away by how many people are stepping up to help save mepal. the momentum behind this is incredible and it shows just how much this place means to everyone around here.

so many memories here growing up. really hope they find the money to keep it going.
My kids have been going here for years. It would be a total waste to shut it down now. Keep these programs open for the next generation.
MEPAL IS VITAL. Stop cutting funding for local things that actually matter.
Such a shame. This place does so much for local schools.
Please save this place! I learned how to sail there and loved every second of it.
