The Palmer Foundation Five Year (2013-2018) National Mobilization to Petition and Appeal for Help to Save the “at risk Children” Living in “at risk communities” in Urban and Rural America
The Palmer Foundation was created (circa 1955) as a nonprofit unincorporated association and in1980 we became a 501©3 tax exempt organization with a focus on the “at risk children” living in “at risk families” and trapped in “at risk urban and rural communities” across America.
In 1957 the foundation created the Black Peoples University of Philadelphia as the vehicle for training leadership for social change, to children from Pre School (2-5 years) to high school, as well as adults and seniors in an effort to reclaim and restore “at risk neighborhoods” to a higher level of civility and stability.
Over the last fifty to sixty years The Palmer Foundation has worked tirelessly to train community leaders in education, business, law, medicine, religion, politics and government.
We believe that all schools in America should provide leadership and social problem solving skills to teachers, students, and parents, so that they can all become socially conscious and socially responsible.
The goal of this campaign is to mobilize and petition a million people across America who will make a pledge to help save the “at-risk children” in America. We will identify “at risk communities” where we can work with those communities to build e-learning centers for children between 13 and 19 years old, who have dropped out of school, in an effort to help them get their high school diploma.
In addition we will build early intervention learning centers across America. These centers will be integrated and supported with early health screening detection services for preschool children (2 years to 5 years) and their primary families.
These early intervention centers will be fully staffed with qualified teachers and aides; while the early health and mental health screening detection program, will be staffed by volunteers from schools of medicine, nursing, veterinarian, law, education, social work and business.
Their job will be to do community asset mapping, basic health screening, health and social services referral and information distribution.
In addition we will work to build or support new elementary and middle schools and support existing public, charter, cyber, parochial, private and home schools that embrace the Palmer leadership for social justice curriculum.
