I am petitioning for the reopening of, if not all, at least one of the remaining Community Centers in the city of Pontiac, MI. I believe this will help with some of the advancement in todays youth and give them something more constructive to do with there time. Growing up you need places like these where you can go to for help with things, educationally, goal wise, athletically, among many other things. These places are where you may make lifetime bonds with friends, meet people that may help you to advance in life, and help you through the process of growing up. I would like to reopen at least one of these places and make to where young kids of all ages can go to get tutoring, help with sports, or just to come and enjoy themselves, give them chances to meet people that will help and encourage them. I had these places growing up that were there to help young hopefuls and tried to better the community. You may have had them to and thats what i believe our communities are missing. Lets try and bring some of that back to our city.While i know out city has financial struggles i believe that our government which provides and finds money for many similiar useful things such as this, will have no problems finding the needed sources for this.
