Name: Lucy Paice on Mar 30, 2009Comments: It would be a disgrace if the orchestra was taken away from greenhill. The amount of hard work that has gone in to it over the years is amazing. The orchestra defines greenhill and to simply disregard all those who have worked so hard over the years to make it what is today is appauling.Flag

I will always grateful for the support the music staff gave me during my years at the school. These proposed budgets will not only harm the reputation of the Ysgol Greenhill School but also harm extra-curricular music activities within the county.Flag

Name: Amy Folland on Mar 31, 2009Comments: This proposal is ridiculous. Cuts are inevitable within education and business generally at the moment, but to cut peri teaching within Greenhill would be disastrous. I am one of many that relied on peri lessons with no private tuition, so I feel very strongly about this proposed cut. Greenhill’s Music department and peri teachers have given students the opportunity to perform in some fantastic places at such a high level. Please save the peri services!!Flag

Without it it is going to be just like any other school with no defining features. Anyone who was a member of the orchestra in the past or present has been shaped by the music department, becoming more confident and artistic as a result and it would be a real shame if this opportunity was taken away. The main reason greenhill had a fabulous reputation is down to the orcestra, my Aunt who used to be deputy of head in Greenhill, was working as head teacher in a school in Ireland in the late 90s and Paul Rapi and the Orchestra were all over the school press over there, this is how well known they are please dont dont take this away, no-one wants to see Greenhill go downhill as it is a magnificent school. The success of the orchestra can be seen in the devotion of all the students who have put this campaign together, old and new and also the high caliber of mucicians that have gone on into higher education with their abilities.Flag
