3253 Ruth Anne AdamsRaggedy Ann and Andy were my two daughters' favorite books and toys. My youngest still has her little Andy from when she was still in her crib! I had got them a 32" Ann that had a music box inside in 1965 and we had such fun with her at story time each night. She was packed away for 30 years and I got her out, washed her clothes and put her in a little red chair. I went to my oldest daughter's house for a party and rang the bell and left Ann sitting by the door. What a delight it was for them to get acquainted with her once again! She is on the bed in my guest room. My daughter still has all the books by Johnny Gruelle and I'm sure will always keep them. Neither of my daughters have any children to pass them on to. As a child of the 1930's and depression era, I surely enjoyed myself with these two Deep Deep Woods folks!
