    Comments: This is the most appalling attack and apart from what has happened to Andrew has completely destroyed a happy family. Some time and some how we as a community have to stand up to these thugs once and for all. One way is demanding that the culprit is put into prison for as long as the law will allow. Also hopefuuly this persons family can at some stage see the destruction their so called son has left for all the law abiding people in this world to come along and clean up.

    Comments: New Zealand Courts are too lenient and often the offenders who commit these horrific crimes reoffend. Victims should not have to worry about looking over their shoulder in fear of another attack. What about victims rights!!! Offenders should receive longer sentences and tougher prison life.

    Comments: People who do these types of things to others, do not stop to think of the consequences of their actions, they therefore don't care about others in thier community and how their actions affect them and their families. If we continue to just accept this type of mentality, our communities will continue to fall apart rather to unite. I will not accept this behaviour not now, not ever, and definately not in my community.
