Under the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) 'titles capitalisation' policy registrants are described as 'registered UpperCase lowercases' or 'registered Uppercases'. In both variants the result, when printed on registration certificates and cards, looks untidy and unprofessional. We therefore call upon the HCPC to change their capitalisation policy, which is currently wholly satisfactory, and to adopt the simple expedient solution of using lowercase throughout (i.e. registered lowercase, or registered lowercase lowercase).
