Help Stop Oregon's Senate Bill 71 - Drone Bill http://www.leg.state.or.us/13reg/measpdf/sb0001.dir/sb0071.intro.pdf Bans R/C FPV and Aerial Video Flying Calling them Drones If this Bill passes, every r/c pilot including little Timmy who fly's any unmanned flying machine that is capable of capturing images of objects or people on the ground or in the air can be charged with a Class B Misdemeanor if the camera is off and a Class A Misdemeanor if the camera is on and you fly your R/C machine We need your help by signing this petition along with contacting you State Representative http://www.leg.state.or.us/findlegsltr/ along with John Kitzhaber http://www.oregon.gov/Gov/Pages/contact.aspx Let's light up Twitter, Facebook, Blogs and help get news coverage so we can get this puppy stopped.

    2 years ago Comments: When flying fpv planes or quadrotors you can only see well enough though your ccd sercurity camera to fly your craft. There is no thermal imagaging or zoom on our crafts we are not spying on people. There are already privacy rules in place for this. This is a recreational hobby that has many benifits to the community, such as powerline inspection , search and rescue, nuclear power plant inspection during emergencys. And many other applications. Ther are many hobbie shops that are going to be really hurt by this.

    2 years ago Comments: only the FAA can regulate the airspace, not individual states! someone needs to challenge this to the us supeme court to show how it effects development of new technologies and the state will loose!
