Our Kindergarten Teacher at Global Village Academy Northglenn was fired due to budget cuts.
On Monday when I took my son to class I was shocked to find out my sons teacher had been fired. The entire Kindergarten classroom had been wiped clean. The class calendar, behavior chart, everything that class had earned and loved was gone. It looked like the first day of school all over again.
I was informed by the Assistant Principal that it was done because of budget cuts. She then told me that their plan is to separate the class into the other three classes. This would mean that there would be approximatly 35 students in each Kindergarten class.
Our students have lost their teacher that they loved, their classroom and are now about to lose their class in a whole.
Laura Martin is a Kindergarten Teacher from Madrid, Spain. She has a Bachelors degree in Teaching English as Second Language in Elementary Education and recently finished a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education. She also has 7 years of teaching experience. Laura is an amazing teacher and each and everyone one of her students loved her.
Please help us bring our teacher back and not let our children lose everything they love!

Keep her! Seven years of xp and a masters degree and you just let her go?? school board needs to get their act together.
This is ridiculous. My daughter cries every morning now because she misses her actual teacher. Fix this mess!
35 kids in a kindergarten class is insane. how are they supposed to learn anything with that many people in one room?? bring ms martin back.
HEARTBROKEN. My daughter loved that classroom and now it is just empty. She was so upset her calendar was gone. BRING HER BACK.
Ms Martin is the best teacher my son ever had. Why are they targeting the good ones over budget stuff?? so frustrating.
