This humble petition is from of several individuals, Kenyan Diaspora groups in North America. It is a result of numerous deliberations that have taken place in the last few weeks of the Month of June 2012. At this time our main purpose is to highlight an issue that has deeply and directly affected us in the Diaspora. This spiral effects are also trickling down to the families, groups and organizations that we directly support financially and materially back in Kenya. Between the October 2011 to April 2012 we shipped donations to our beloved mother country from USA using HOPE FOR AFRICA MISSIONS under the entrepreneurship of JOHN BOSCO AGWANG. Two containers arrived at the Port of Mombasa on 4/15/2015. The business entrepreneur John Bosco is in custody in unrelated matters. Currently the containers are at the port of Mombasa with accrued costs. We had paid everything upfront to have our donations be delivered to final collecting warehouse in Nairobi. Substantial evidence shows the Hope for Africa has not paid all the required fees to have the containers cleared. Further evidence indicates the freight company in the USA has not been paid their dues in order to release the necessary documents pertaining the particular shipments. We have fallen victims in a complex situation. We are appealing for assistance that can help us recover the goods that will go along way assisting our Families, communities and institutions Most of all as part of Kenyan Diaspora we appreciate the Government recognition of our potential contribution to the development of home country. We as part of Diaspora community are committed towards establishing the country we desire to live in; the one we want to bequeath to our future generations.
