I am here to advocate for those who are often forgotten or neglected. The prison population. HIV rates are at alarming high in the correctional system. According to the CDC, 1 in 7 HIV positive individual pass through a correction system. That is a lot of people. There is a treatment option, ART to control the HIV. But why are we allowing for it to get to this point. I am here to advocate for a way to reduce HIV within the prison population through condom distribution programs .
