Comments: I am a physicist, not an engineer, but I have spoken to many civil engineers and they tell me that Squire Whipple is considered "the father of American bridge building" and the "father of iron bridges." Whipple was the author of two highly influential books: "A Work on Bridge-Building" and "An elementary and practical treatise on bridge building" that form the foundation of civil engineering in United States. It is fitting that we should preserve the only known example of a Whipple double-span bowstring truss bridge at its original location on the historic Albany Post Road.

Comments: infinityfotoJune 26, 2011I would definitely coctant the State of California / City of San Francisco about this one. Though it IS a public bridge / roadway, it MAY be a registered trademark (such as the Eiffel Tower in France). Most stock companies will tell you if you need a release or not, but it's never a bad idea to have them. Some public landmarks / parks / etc. don't mind you shooting them, as long as they are non-profit based. This, however, will be for profit, so it's best to be safe than sorry. It could COST you several thousands instead of MAKING you several thousands due to that one signed release.

Comments: Phoenix Erotic PhotographyJune 26, 2011No you don\'t, and for this reason:Before 1980 s you didn\'t need pissirmeon to photograph buildings, bridges or other such things. Now, you need written pissirmeon from the owner, designer or architect to photograph something like that, because it is considered a work of art by US Copyright Law.Photographing the bridge it is not necessary to get a release\' because it was constructed before the 1980 s, to sell the photos.
