WE DID IT!! THE SCHOOL BOARD OFFICIALLY VOTED TO SHIFT START TIMES TO AFTER 8:30 AM AND OUR TEENS ARE FINALLY GETTING THE SLEEP THEY NEED!! THANK YOU FOR FIGHTING FOR THIS CHANGE AND LETS STAY VIGILANT TO ENSURE THE TRANSITION IS PERFECTLY EXECUTED!
We respectfully request the Park City School Board to officially recognize the large and compelling body of research regarding the benefits of later school start times for teens, and,to follow the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendation in their position statement, to start school times for teens after 8:30 AM.
My son is falling asleep in his breakfast cereal every single morning. He is exhausted and it breaks my heart.

We need to follow the science on this. Early start times are just outdated and honestly pretty cruel to teenagers.

It is physically impossible for teens to get enough rest with the current schedule. Please listen to the doctors.
